Taking the proper dietary supplement can help you in many ways.  People are turning to natural ways to help them heal their bodies and maintain their health.  Traditional medicine continues to make incredible advances, yet there are still problems, which it cannot solve.  Many people believe the dietary supplements are the answer.

Astralagus

Dong Quai

The Chinese have been using herbs for thousands of years to cure many ailments.  Dong Quai is a root that when powdered and dried can help clean your blood.  In females, it is believe that Dong Quai can help regulate the menstrual cycle, relieve premenstrual symptoms, and help balance hormones, especially during menopause.

Evening Primrose

Used in oil form, Evening Primrose may help with rheumatoid arthritis, hot flashes (caused by menopause), eczema (and other skin conditions), breast pain, diabetic neuropathy, cancer, high cholesterol levels, and heart disease.  It is believed that Evening Primrose’s gamma-linolenic acid balances hormonal disturbances and help those that have trouble producing this acid themselves.

Flax Seed

This herbal remedy produces oil called alpha linolenic acid.  It is a fat of the omega 3 fatty acids, like those found in fish.  Flax seed may lower cholesterol and high blood pressure.  It can also reduce the risk of heart attack.

Rhodiola

This Chinese tonic can help fight against fatigue and stress.  It can also help keep your blood clean, thus promoting a health heart.

Echinacea

Another herb that helps protect your immune system, Goldenseal can keep the common cold at bay.  If taken after you have gotten a cold, it may shorten the time you have it.

Kombucha

Kombucha is a mushroom that can be used to brew a tea, which helps improve the immune system.  It can also improve your energy levels at the same time.

There are also dietary supplements that can help calm your nerves and make you feel more relaxed.  Kava Kava is a root that when used in syrup or powder form can aid in relaxation.  This South Pacific root may also help you sleep better.  Valerian root also helps you relax and sleep better.  It may help women with menstrual cramps.  Valerian can be taken in the form of tea, capsules or tablets.
