Viagra Cialis Levitra

The three drugs commonly used in the treatment of erectile dysfunction (ED) are Viagra Cialis Levitra. ED is a physiological disorder in which the penis does not harden during excitement or when a man cannot sustain an erection. This occurs when an enzyme PDE-5 breaks down the cGPM enzyme crucial for dilating and supplying blood to the penis cavern. So, the most effective drugs to counteract ED are ones blocking the PDE-5 enzyme. Viagra Cialis Levitra are all PDE-5 inhibitors.

In our times, men desire to be sexually active for a longer period. In order to ensure overall satisfaction for men and women, a healthy sexual life is extremely important. However, facts reveal that around 120 million men worldwide suffer from ED. More prone are men with diabetes, arthesclerosis and men over 50. With Viagra Cialis Levitra available, a solution is readily provided.

All three drugs are PDE-5 blockers and works similarly, so if you are not satisfied with the effect of one it is unlikely that you will get the desired result with the others. However, whichever of the ED drugs you decide to take, it is important to consult your doctor.

What is Viagra?

Developed and marketed by Pfizer in 1998 after being approved by FDA to be the first pill to treat ED and pulmonary arterial hypertension, Sildenafil citrate is sold under the brand name of Viagra. The pills are blue and diamond shaped. Sildenafil is a strong and selective blocker of PDE-5 responsible for the degradation of cGMP. As the molecular structure of sildenafil and cGMp is the same, the intake results in more cGMP and better erection.

The side effects include priapism, severe hypotension, sneezing, headache, dyspepsia and blurring of vision

What is Cialis?

Developed by ICOS and marketed by Eli Lilly, it is a tadalafil drug under the brand name Cialis. It was approved by FDA and became available in 2003 as a pill for treating ED. ICOS found that the IC351 chemical compound effective in treating ED as tadalfil inhibits the PDE-5 enzyme.

Its side effects include priapism, headache, body ache, muscle cramps, and even loss of vision.

What is Levitra?

Commonly marketed under the brand Levitra, Vardenafil is a PDE-5 inhibitor to treat ED. Vardenafil is marketed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals. Its side effects include nausea, abdominal pain, backache, facial odema, abnormal vision, hypertension as well as cardiac arrests. The pills are round and orange in color.

Viagra Cialis Levitra are not to be taken by individuals taking nitrate medications. If you are scheduled for surgery or if you are on alpha-blocker for blood pressure, and arrhythmia or had recent heart attack or stroke, avoid taking any of these pills. Moreover, be sure only to take the required dosage as prescribed.

There are minor differences in how long each of these are effective or how quickly each takes action. Viagra is effective for 4 hours while Levitra for an hour longer. Cialis, also known as the weekend pill works upto 9 times longer and emerges the winner at 36 hours. While both Viagra and Levita start acting within 30 minutes of use, Cialis requires a mere 15 minutes to take effect. You are told to avoid fatty foods while using Viagra as this will interfere in the process but no such restriction is made in the use of Cialis.

A 20 mg dose of tadalfil is equivalent to a 100 mg dose of sildenafil. Also Cialis is cheaper and cost effective. However, each has its own advantages and all three Viagra Cialis Levitra are considered to be miracle drugs against the complex problem of sexual impotency in men worldwide.
