Cialis Soft Tabs

In today’s world, men desire not only to be physically active but sexually active as well. This will ensure overall mental satisfaction for the man and his partner. In order to have sound sexual health, a healthy lifestyle is necessary for adequate blood flow to the penis and therefore an erection.

Erection happens when love signals from the brain results in formation of nitric oxide in the blood vessels of the penis. This nitric oxide activates the guanylate cyclase enzyme to produce cGMP, which leads to the increased blood flow to the penis cavern and produces an erection. If the cGMP is broken down by the PDE-5 enzyme then there is loss of erection or erectile dysfunction (ED).

Studies reveal that there are about 120 million males worldwide who suffer from erectile dysfunction (ED) of some sorts. Men suffering from diabetes, arthesclerosis and those above 50 years of age are at a risk of ED. However, with wonderful drugs in the market to counter this problem there are solutions available. The most effective drugs are those that block the PDE-5 enzyme.

Viagra produced by Pfizer was the first PDE-5 inhibitor to treat ED. However, the effect of Viagra is only for a mere 4 hours so the man has to perform within that limited time period to have effective sexual intercourse. Moreover, Viagra cannot be taken with fatty foods.

With the advent of Cialis Soft Tabs from Lilly-ICOS these constraints are removed. Taken orally, it is the only ED tablet proven to work up to 36 hours as compared to 4 hours in the case of Viagra. The effect of Cialis shows up within 30 minutes of its use. Moreover, it is much cheaper than other ED pills and cost effective due to its longer impact. Also you do not have to stop eating fat based foods while using Cialis.

The History of the Cialis Soft Tabs

The FDA approved the prescription drug Viagra in 1998 and Pfizer made billions of dollars from its sale. When FDA also approved Cialis Soft Tabs as ED pills, Pfizer faced tough competition. In 1993, ICOS began researching with IC351 as a PDE-5 enzyme blocker. Though the scientists were not testing the IC351 for ED, they found that it could also be used for ED. It patented the IC351 in 1994. In 1998, ICOS and Eli Lilly commercialized the drug for ED and in the year 2000 applied to the US FDA calling the drug Cialis. One year later they received an approval.

The Benefits of Cialis Soft Tabs

As Cialis has an extended period of effect, you are not under pressure to perform within a limited time frame. You can relax and perform when the moment is perfect and you and your partner are both ready. Sexual stimulation is required with Cialis. It helps men with ED to achieve and sustain their erection and have better sexual satisfaction. After intercourse the erection subsides. The man is confident and satisfied with the hardness of erection with Cialis Soft Tabs.

The Side Effects

All said and done, it is not to be forgotten that Cialis has adverse side effects and is only to be taken after consultation with your doctor. The most common side effects are headache, stomach upset, back pain and muscle cramps, which are fortunately temporary. As with other ED tablets, there maybe rare cases of priapism. Some have complained of reduced vision. If any of these problems crop up, immediately stop usage and call the doctor.

We must remember that Cialis Soft Tabs only help but does not cure ED or protect from sexually transmitted diseases. Neither is Cialis to be used by women or children. It is not also recommended if nitrates prescribed for chest pains are taken. However, it seems to be the best pill to help you maintain a better sexual health.
